Position Overview:

Building a regulatory compliance department from the ground up requires strategic planning to ensure that the department effectively meets the company’s regulatory obligations. We are seeking an experienced, process-driven Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join our team.  This newly created position will help ensure a smooth roll out of the program and would help with the day-to-day operations of Regulatory Compliance, to include:

  • Identifying and monitoring the laws and regulations that apply to ABC in the US and Canada.
  • Monitoring developments with respect to new laws and regulations and analyze trends in proposed regulations.
  • Assesses risk factors related to compliance, analyzes trends, and develops strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with departments with compliance roles to ensure that those departments are aware of current and near future obligations.
  • Assist with the development of training materials and conduct training when necessary.
  • Keep abreast of developments in compliance technology to increase effectiveness and reduce cost of compliance.
  • Develop and manage a “compliance calendar” to assist departments with their reporting obligations.
  • Examine and make recommendations regarding existing compliance KPIs and develop new ones.
  • Review existing compliance related workflows to help ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Review and analyze existing compliance processes with an eye toward continuous improvement.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years’ experience as a compliance analyst or similar position that shows familiarity with both regulatory matters and compliance in a process-heavy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and program improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
