Job Description

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest distributor of select exterior and interior building products, is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to join its team. In this role, you will provide level two support and expertise on all application programs utilized by ABC Supply’s associates in the field. In addition, you will work with associates to improve their understanding of the applications and look for ways to maximize usage. The right candidate will have superior customer service and critical thinking skills, and will be comfortable working with and learning new technology.

Specific duties may include:

• Working one-on-one with associates on application issues
• Tracking and documenting issues as they arise
• Developing and sharing best practices with Applications Support teammates
• Developing and improving training manuals for applications
• Monitoring associates’ training and developing strategies to continuously improve compliance
• Working with the Operations team to identify changes to policies, processes and technologies, and training associates on those changes
• Coordinating and providing training for new associates
• Creating a self-serve knowledge base for associates to refer to when application issues arise

Specific qualifications include:

• Two years’ experience in a technology training and/or support role is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Superior time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly, adapting to new technology and processes
• Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
