Job Description
ABC Supply, the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior building supplies, is looking for a Loss Prevention Technical Support.
Position Summary:
The primary function of the Loss Prevention Technical Support will be to act on emails and phone calls from branch managers related to technical support issues and service requests for security systems.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair recording server platforms.
- Basic troubleshooting of network issues related to connectivity between security-video devices.
- Collaborate with telecom and network infrastructure teams to resolve interconnectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot video management software (VMS) on desktop clients and recording servers.
- Interact with outside vendors to initiate, coordinate, and resolve service issues.
- Shipping and receiving of security devices.
- Maintain security equipment inventory and warranty support.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate an understanding of network fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, NTP).
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer and network hardware.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with team members.
- Ability to problem solve and research solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve issues based on impact and urgency.
- Strong sense of personal initiate and ability to work independently.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organization and analytical skills.
- Willing to travel if business needs require it.
