The Opportunity:

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market leader in an interesting and highly visible position. The Human Resources Generalist will interface daily with a variety of individuals throughout the corporation offering visibility and long-term growth opportunities.

The HR Generalist is new opportunity is due to growth. The position will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Summary:

HR Generalist: supports operations and provides HR advice to Location Managers on a range of complex employee relations issues and strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Advise on matters pertaining to local, state, and federal regulations regarding employment
  • Support, guide, and coach management in the handling of employee relations issues, conducting internal investigations of alleged violations of company policies, rules, and standards of conduct when necessary, ensuring that all Company-initiated investigations are conducted in a fair, impartial, thorough, thoughtful, and timely manner as well as in compliance with US laws and regulations including Company policies and procedures
  • Prepare written responses and investigation notes as necessary to provide legal responses to pertinent allegations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business from an accredited university (preferred)
  • 5+ years experience in a corporate human resources function
  • Ability to articulate complex solutions to issues to employees, Team Leaders, and Senior Leaders throughout the organization
  • Possess project management skills and be able to translate those skills into written and verbal form including demonstrative use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Ability to work in emotionally-charged situations while maintaining a professional demeanor and represent the organization and Company professionally at all times
  • Broad knowledge of HR best practices in case management and employee relations, well developed customer and relationship management skills, ability to coach business leaders, and investigative skills
  • Possess strong writing skills, and experience writing business documents
  • Able to work independently once direction on task is provided
  • Must be able to travel at times, up to 10 percent (infrequent, but may be an occasional requirement)
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish)
