Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To follow and guide the administrative processes required for the procurement of fleet equipment at ABC Supply Co. and L & W Supply.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Communication -The ability to communicate effectively with all field level managers, field-level associates, and related associates at NSC
Teamwork - Requires the ability to work together with individuals to achieve synergy to achieve objectives
Problem-solving - Must have the ability to listen to associates’ needs and issues, then communicate ideas on paths to success.
Self Management - Must communicate and collaborate their schedule and priorities with their supervisor. Most work with attention to detail to prevent mistakes and to receive exactly what the field is requesting.
Planning and organizing
Will have to follow and communicate processes, schedules, and duties.
Must visualize and plan improvements to existing processes.
Must help the supervisor to develop new plans and processes for your initiatives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications – Required:
High School degree or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):
Knowledge of all fleet equipment related: registrations, IRP, trucks specifications, warehouse forklift specifications, EOBRs, in-truck camera systems
Truck and equipment valuation, heavy truck maintenance requirements, Federal Bridge Laws, ABC Supply processes,
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):
People skills. - The ability to work with people of various backgrounds, skills, and experiences.
Branch Operations – Knowledge of branch processes as they relate to fleet maintenance, warranty, inspections, dispatch, equipment selection, equipment specifications, and ABC Supply Co. Fleet processes.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for tracking and reporting equipment movement concerning new requests. Administer “Carrier Code” entry in JD Edwards dispatch. Responsible for equipment valuation of acquisitions. Communicate warranty start date of new equipment.
Participate in data input and maintenance of the Email Fleet Management system.
Review equipment repair & maintenance history for application in various ways.
Contribute to the development and management of programs and guidelines to help the ABC locations manage their equipment efficiently and cost-effectively.
Communicate and coordinate branch requests and needs with and through the supervisor, fleet shop, and Regional Management.
Field contact as assigned to facilitate fleet procurement.
Contribute to the “Fleet Procurement” phone line and correspondence regarding troubleshooting inquiries from the field.
Upload and manage inspections of new units.
Manage inventory and shipments of EOBRs.
Validate, track, report, and support production schedule, and progress of all fleet requests.
Cross-train with duties of fleet procurement administrators.
Other duties related to Fleet Procurement as assigned.
