ABC Supply is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to deliver analytics solutions to the enterprise. As a member of the Enterprise Analytics team at ABC you will be delivering high impact solutions driven by our executive leadership.

As a versatile and analytical-minded professional reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence and partnering with data engineers and product managers, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, developing data models, and designing and implementing business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both data analysis and business intelligence, with a passion for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenge:
    • Create and maintain documentation, including functional specifications and process flows
    • Design effective approach to achieve desired results.
  • Develop data models to support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Implement data visualization and reporting solutions that present data in a clear and meaningful manner.
  • Assist in quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of data
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Regularly communicate project status and meet deadlines for assigned deliverables.
  • Follow team’s standard development processes
  • Professionally demo your work to peers and leadership
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 3 years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), developing highly performant SQL queries.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics) and data manipulation languages (e.g., Python, Databricks).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large complex datasets as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
