Job Description
ABC’s National Support Center in Beloit, WI is currently seeking a talented Merchandising Analyst. This position is open due to a promotion.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Merchandising, this associate will provide hands-on product-focused analysis by developing reports, tools, and dashboards for use by management at various levels within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with key stakeholders to determine their merchandising intelligence needs and develop reporting to support those needs throughout the organization
- Collaborate with category leaders to develop actionable insights that drive incremental profit to ABC
- Support tracking of existing rebate programs to maximize program attainment.
- Enhance processes for inventory management and profit optimization, by working cross-functionally with Merchandising and branch teams
- Design and execute market research projects to answer specific business questions
- Report and communicate strategic information to various levels of management by translating data into innovative analysis
- Publication and analysis of month-end reports that focus on vendor, merchandising, and sales/gp performance
- Run ad-hoc analyses and reporting requests as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Math, Statistics preferred)
- Proven ability to run ad hoc analyses
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
- 2+ years experience in analysis and/or survey development preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience with Tableau, OBIEE and/or other analytical preferred

- In-depth knowledge of merchandising, category management concepts and analysis
- Strong statistical analysis and problem solving skills
- Exceptional communication/presentation skills at all levels within the organization
